Cindy Constantino Gleason
Town Supervisor
I have proudly called Mendon home for more than 26 years. My husband, Sean, and I raised our three children here, Sean (2011), Quinn (HFL Class of 2012), and Aerin (HFL Class of 2016). Like so many families, we chose Mendon for its beauty, strong sense of community, and exceptional quality of life. Our son Sean recently moved back from Boston to raise his own family here, and we hope future generations will continue to put down roots in Mendon, attending our schools, competing on our teams, and enjoying the parks, trails, and traditions that make Honeoye Falls and Mendon unlike anywhere else we have lived.
I am running for Town Supervisor because I love this community and want to help preserve the character, beauty, and values that make Mendon such a special place. I believe we can move forward thoughtfully, protecting what makes Mendon unique while making practical improvements in the areas residents care about most: responsible budgeting, well-maintained roads and parks, sensible planning and zoning, and services that support families and seniors alike.
I pride myself on being someone who can work with people of all political beliefs and backgrounds. Throughout my professional and personal life, I have listened carefully, compromised where appropriate, and worked collaboratively to reach the best possible outcomes. As President of the Board of Directors of NAMI Rochester, I led a board of volunteers advocating for individuals and families affected by mental illness, work that required building consensus among people who did not always begin from the same perspective. I will bring that same collaborative and respectful approach to the role of Supervisor.
My professional career has spanned more than 30 years of legal practice, public service, and advocacy. I have worked in private practice and served for many years in the New York State court system in Monroe County, including in Supreme, County, and Rochester City Courts. I also served as a Referee in Domestic Violence Court and in the problem-solving courts that handle Drug Court, Mental Health Court, and Veterans Court matters. Those experiences reinforced what I believe should guide every public role: treating every individual with dignity and respect while pairing compassion with accountability and practical problem-solving.
In recent years, I have represented survivors of childhood sexual abuse, work that has been among the most meaningful of my career, and a powerful reminder of how important it is for institutions to listen and respond with care. Today, my husband and I operate our small law practice together, Constantino & Gleason, PLLC, continuing our commitment to serving people throughout our community.
I would be honored to bring my experience, collaborative approach, and deep love for this town to the role of Mendon Town Supervisor, serving the community my family has proudly called home for more than 26 years.
