Cindy Constantino Gleason
Town Supervisor
My husband Sean and I have proudly called Mendon home for more than 26 years, where we raised our three children — Sean, Quinn (HFL Class of 2012), and Aerin (HFL Class of 2016). Like so many families, we chose Mendon because of its unique beauty, strong sense of community, and exceptional quality of life. Our son Sean recently moved back home after living in Boston for more than a decade so he could raise his own family here, in the community he loves.
Our family treasures everything that makes this area so special — our incredible schools, youth sports, parks and ball fields, local businesses, community traditions, and the close-knit feeling that makes Honeoye Falls and Mendon unlike anywhere else. We are hopeful that future generations of our family will continue to return to their roots here to attend our outstanding schools, compete on our teams, enjoy our parks and trails, and experience all that this remarkable community has to offer.
I am running for Mendon Town Supervisor because I truly love this community and want to help preserve the character, beauty, and values that make Mendon such a special place to live. I believe we can move forward thoughtfully — protecting what makes Mendon unique while embracing smart ideas and practical improvements that benefit residents, support our future, and keep taxes reasonable.
I pride myself on being someone who can work with people of all political beliefs and backgrounds. Throughout both my professional and personal life, I have always believed in listening carefully, compromising when appropriate, thinking through issues collaboratively, and working together respectfully to achieve the best possible outcomes for our community. I am open to hearing and incorporating new ideas that can strengthen and benefit our town.
For more than 30 years, my professional career has been devoted largely to public service, advocacy, and helping others. I have worked in private legal practice and served for many years in both Monroe County Supreme Court and Monroe County Court, including service as a Referee in Domestic Violence Court. I also worked extensively in Drug Court, Mental Health Court, and Veterans Court, experiences that reinforced the importance of compassion, accountability, problem-solving, and treating every individual with dignity and respect.
I also served as President of the Board of Directors of NAMI Rochester, where I advocated for individuals and families affected by mental illness and worked to improve awareness, support, and access to services within our community.
In recent years, I have represented survivors of childhood sexual abuse, helping individuals and families navigate some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Today, my husband and I operate our small law practice together, Constantino & Gleason, PLLC, continuing our commitment to serving individuals and families throughout our community.
I would be honored to bring my experience, collaborative approach, and commitment to public service to the role of Mendon Town Supervisor.
